Oo Kar Mun | Music Coach

Oo Kar Mun is a student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Material Physics with Honours at University Putra Malaysia. Her musical journey began when she joined Muzikgarten under the guidance of Ms Kelly Teh at the tender age of 18 months. She commenced her piano lessons at the age of six, upon completing her time in Muzikgarten. Besides playing the piano, Kar Mun loves singing and playing the ukulele, and has been a member of the ukulele society PPMUM since 2013.


Having a strong passion for music, Kar Mun actively participates in various concerts and competitions. She has achieved two Gold Awards and one Silver Award in the piano solo section of the Asia Pacific Arts Festival, which were held in Malaysia in 2017, Singapore in 2017, and Cambodia in 2018. She also participated in music exchange programs held by PPMUM in Japan and Taiwan in 2018 and 2017, respectively. Kar Mun has also received two silver awards in the Malaysia Ukulele Festival competition in 2018 and 2020. As a member of the Ukestra under PPMUM and led by Mr. Stanley Chin, she performed in Penang, Sabah, Malacca, and Johor.


Currently, Kar Mun works as a piano, theory, and musicianship training coach at Ideal Music while pursuing her piano performance studies under the guidance of Ms. Nicole.
