Lim Nihui | Music Coach

“When music sounds, listen and feel.”

im Nihui is currently pursuing her Diploma in Music at the Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA), majoring in Piano under the guidance of Coach Tay Hao Jin and minoring in Violin under the guidance of Ms Lee Chea Yin. She is expected to complete her studies in December 2027.

Nihui began her musical journey at the age of five and has achieved ABRSM Grade 8 in both Piano and Music Theory. Throughout her musical studies she has continued to develop her musicianship through performances and musical events, including A Night of Strings, where she performed as part of a violin ensemble, and performed piano at Musical Rendez-vous, both held at MIA City Campus. In 2025, she was also awarded a Gold Prize at the Graceful Piano International Competition and Festival.

Alongside musical pursuits, Nihui has gained practical teaching experience working with piano students of different levels. She believes that every student has their own pace and way of learning.

As a piano and music theory coach at Ideal Music, Nihui hopes to create a patient, encouraging and enjoyable learning environment where students can grow in their musical abilities while discovering their own love for music.
