Hayley Lee is a pianist and music educator with a diverse academic and musical background. She began her studies in Business Studies, specialising in Accounting, before pursuing her passion for music. She holds a Diploma in Music Studies from the Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA), where she majored in piano under the tutelage of Ms. Nicole Yap and minored in classical guitar under Mr. Stanley Chin. She also achieved High Distinction in the ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory examination.
During her time at MIA, Hayley was an active member of the MIA Ladies’ Chorus, participating in concerts and choral competitions, including the MCE National Choir Competition in 2022 and 2023 and the Vietnam International Choir Competition in Hoi An, Vietnam, in 2023, where the ensemble was awarded first place in its category.
In 2026, Hayley graduated from Sunway University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Music Performance, majoring in piano under the tutelage of Mr. Chiew Zhi Hong. She was a recipient of the Sunway Music Scholarship and was awarded the Dean’s List in most of her semesters.
Her contributions to music education have been recognised through the Excellent Teacher Award at the International Classical and Traditional Music Competition in Taiwan in 2024 and the Teacher’s Achievement Award at the Graceful Piano International Competition & Festival in 2025.
Hayley currently serves as a piano and music theory coach at Ideal Music, where she applies her academic training and performance experience to music education. Through her teaching and performance practice, she aims to support students in developing their musical skills and fostering a lasting appreciation for music.
